I am a self taught, full time, wildlife and nature photographer. I have been a Coast Guard spouse for 25 years and it has afforded me the opportunity to live in some amazing places, Kodiak being the most amazing so far! Being a wildlife photographer blends my love for animals and enthusiasm for being outdoors; when I started it was like the lightbulb went off and I knew this is what I was meant to do.
I have been fortunate to have won several photography contests, have images in a museum, been juried into art exhibits, and published in multiple newspapers and magazines. My photography goal and style is to not only take pictures of wildlife but in a way that is also considered fine art that tells the viewer a story.
I also strongly believe in ethical wildlife photography, where baiting is not allowed and the well being of the animal is first and foremost the goal, and not the image. Proud member of North American Photography Association, promoting responsible nature photography.
I shoot with: Canon 1DX II, Canon 5D Mark IV, Sony a7rII Lenses: Canon 500 f/4 Mark II, Canon 100-400 Mark II, Canon 70-200 L 2.8 Mark II, Canon 16-35 f/2.8 Mark II, Canon 100 f/2.8 L, Canon 24-105 f/4
